Humanitarian Rescue Actions with the Chilean Miners
(Reuters) - Chile's trapped miners were shuttled up a narrow escape shaft to freedom and joyous reunions on Wednesday in a meticulously planned rescue operation that ended their two-month ordeal deep underground.
Today all 33 Chilean miners who were trapped for 69 days were all rescued safely. Their face filled with tears of happiness and joy to return home. They were rescued by a capsule named "Phoenix" named after a bird resurrected from ash in a legend. "Welcome to life," President Sebastian Pinera of Chile told Victor Segovia, the 15th miner out. On a day of superlatives, it seemed no overstatement.
This rescue was extremely well planned and worked out flawlessly.
"This rescue operation has been so marvelous, so clean, so emotional that there was no reason not to allow the eyes of the world — which have been watching this operation so closely — to see it," a beaming Pinera told a news conference after the first miner safely surfaced.
The miners' vital signs were closely monitored throughout the ride. They were given a high-calorie liquid diet donated by NASA, designed to prevent nausea from any rotation of the capsule as it traveled through curves in the 28-inch-diameter escape hole
.
Engineers inserted steel piping at the top of the shaft, which was angled 11 degrees off vertical before plunging like a waterfall. Drillers had to curve the shaft to pass through "virgin" rock, narrowly avoiding collapsed areas and underground open spaces in the overexploited mine, which had operated since 1885.
President Barack Obama said the rescue had "inspired the world." The crews included many Americans, including a driller operator from Denver and a team from Center Rock Inc. of Berlin, Pa., that built and managed the piston-driven hammers that pounded the hole through rock laced with quartzite, some of the hardest and most abrasive rock.

A Relationship and Love.. How would you define one?
How do you all define relationship? For me, it is anything that is related to interactions between two and more person, an object, or whatever you can think of.
The pinnacle of relationship to many of us, human, here is the state we call "Love". Basically many of us knows many relationships start with acquaintance, friendship, then end with love and bond or miserably dissolved away. To many of our beliefs, relationships may occur as a phenomena of fate and destiny, or otherwise just by chance. Many may spend time arguing all the details in this process or even the process itself but I think no one would be wrong about it. As long as the world is still spinning and round, various explanations are probably correct until proven wrong by any of the accepted standards.
While "Love" is always a topic of interest, minutes after minutes people fall for it. Do you even realize what that Love came from an ordinary relationship? This will be controversial since some people do believe they love someone when they feel good being with them or feeling bonded. Yes, I agree that is a part of it. I am just trying to justify what exactly is "Love"? When the president says he/she loves the country and its people, do they really mean it? If they do, what is their love? Do they just feel the sudden rush of love under the influence of happiness from the wealth he/she is gathering in office?
Same thing goes with ordinary people. Scale down the sights from the affair of the whole country down to 2 simple person. Do a man feel a love for a woman just because he gets everything he needs from her? I believe this is the part where a latent bias lies. Even though a person was careful and sure he is free from issues that others may condemn of, he mustn't let down the thought of being fair in the relationship. In the scenario of 2 person's affair, I think everything starts well with being completely honest and free from and desire off of each other. As long as both are in good will and being productive, love will sustain. Can't say relationship never expires. They literally will at some point, depending on each person's definition. One might say it ends when the person dies but another might feel perfectly bonded with a 30 years dead lover. Or one might say it can hardly end when a person reincarnates somewhere again in this world, depending on the deeds and karma.
Thinking scientifically, one might just try to find a sustainable productive way to maintain their relationship so it will last longer than a person's lifetime. Literally the person will physically die before the relationship itself dies. After all, is that all your life is hoping for? It seems like an ideal end stage of your life as many people might long for, loving until they're apart. Do people really live and wish for something pleasant for them to happen in the end of their life?
